VISA TYPES

There are two main types of visit visas for the United States:

Nonimmigrant visas for individuals who wish to enter the United States temporarily:

  • For Business (B-1 Visa)
  • For Tourism (B-2 Visa)
  • For Both Purposes (B-1/B-2 Visa)

B1 Visa holders can engage in activities such as:

  • Visiting the country for a vacation
  • Touring various cities
  • Visiting friends or family
  • Participating in social events hosted by organizations
  • Seeking medical treatment
  • Taking part in sports or music events
  • Attending short-term courses

The B2 Visa is ideal for short-term visitors (up to 6 months) traveling to the USA. In some cases, it can be issued as a multiple-entry visa for up to 10 years.

Here are key details for the US B2 visa:

  • You must demonstrate to US consular officials that you do not intend to immigrate to the United States.
  • You must provide valid reasons and evidence to prove your intent to return to your home country.
  • Appointments for biometric data collection and the visa interview must be scheduled.
  • Children under 14 and adults over 80 do not need to attend an interview at the consulate and can submit their documents at the visa application center.
  • Individuals renewing a US visit visa can apply for renewal by booking a visa appointment and submitting the required documents in person at the visa application center.
